Karter School of One Loudoun

My god niece goes to this school. I found out that my niece's classes didn't get to go on a... read more field trip that a similar class got to go because they have 3 year olds in the class. That wasn't our fault and isn't fair to treat children this way! This school constantly keeps trying to stufff kids in class rooms. It was horrible during the summer time as my niece became an invoice instead of a child. Where she was stuck in her class room because the summer kids got to go outside or use the extracurriculars. Each time I hear something unjust and malevolent this school is doing to the kids. The field trip thing is an dispicable because my niece's class has younger kids in it. Her dad didn't choose that class, so those kids get unfair treatment. Why does one class have younger kids in it and not the other class. Shouldn't it be a fair split. This school must be run by a dictator who has no true feelings just surface level support. But all the teachers kids are in the other class that got to go on the field trip....sounds like favoritism and segregation to me. Kids get hurt no one says anything, they get little to no food or snacks. They are so expensive but you don't get your money's worth. AND half of the staff doesn't speak English so you can't even ask about the progress of a child. Save your $$$. Find another school... if you care for your kid.

Even though it's a large facility offering different programs and activities, the atmosphere remains warm and feels like a family. The staff create a very kind and helpful atmosphere where our son feels comfortable and eager to attend. They communicate with the parents exceptionally well, dealing promptly with any issues that come up. Our child has thrived in both social interaction and academic learning there, being engaged through the diverse activities they provide for constant learning. We highly recommend this school for any family seeking a nurturing, yet dynamic environment.

The summer camp program that this campus offers is mind blowing!!! So many themes to choose from and the kids... read more go on 2 field trips a week…where else can you find that?! The entire team is so welcoming and every place has their hiccups but the level of communication and responsiveness from everyone at this campus is superb. Ms Amy (the director), Ms Gianna and Ms Jennifer are just such a wonderful human beings and always welcoming and supportive! Even before joining this location, they gave us a great tour, were communicative regarding the progress and accommodating to our schedules! Our daughter adjusted pretty quickly, she absolutely loves Ms Sanduni and remembers her after coming home every evening. She is never reluctant in going to the school. The app works wonderfully all the time, we get all the updates consistently and bunch of pictures to cherish all day! Ms Sanduni has been working on the solid curriculum, and teaching good manners and behaviors to my daughter. I have seen improvements in my daughter in such a short stint of time. And the best part is that Ms Sanduni is never tired and greets you with a smile and such a positive demeanor! Ms K is amazing as well and support the class in an efficient fashion! My three grandchildren are at Karter School and it has changed our lives for the better. My... read more middle grandchild (3) had been having difficulties at a local Montessori school who basically threw up their hands and wouldn’t accept that all children do not fit into the same mold. From the first day at Karter, she was a happy child again, feeling the encouragement and optimism from her teachers. My oldest grandchild (7) is in elementary school and happily attends the after school program and camps at Karter. And my youngest grandchild (2) is thriving there. I’ve been overwhelmed with the positive experience with Karter at One Loudoun which is a product of wonderful owners and caring, friendly teachers and employees.

I really appreciate his teachers in Class Milan - Ms. Wei and Ms. Anna + all the other teachers that support and care for my son. Ms. Wei is attentive and thoughtful to learn about and be patient with my son. Ms. Anna is super caring, patient, and understanding. He has grown so much from learning the basics in how to eat food (over milk) and nap (on his own), but also seems to love being around other kids, playing, and all the fun activities he gets to try. Miss Iris is an amazing teacher and the staff there are amazing. I honestly couldn't ask for a more perfect educational institution. It's warm there and very diverse. You enter into the school and the music is just so uplifting. But no, everything has remained the same excellence! "I just want someone up the line to know that I am overflowing with happiness this week! I have watched [my child] in the app and my heart is filled with warm fuzzies. Ms. Helen and Ms. Wei are rocking the classroom! The children are so engaged! And they are doing so many things! What I am seeing in the app, without even exchanging words, is evidence that [my child] is receiving exactly the care and learning opportunities and adventures that I anticipated when I toured with Ms. Sabrina and opted to switch to this school! The main factors that drew me to Karter was the opportunity for [my child] to move around, not be stuck in one classroom all day and the varying enrichments to keep engaged. THIS is THAT and I LOVE it!! (Lots of exclamation marks, people!) I am very pleased with the situation; Ms. Stephanie is incredible and firm and loving; I have no complaints whatsoever! She had an amazing transformation from her initial days at Karter to the present, where she enjoys the Karter environment full of activities, enrichments, learning, and not to mention the awesome infrastructure of the school. My daughter looks forward going to school daily and has developed a bond with Ms Helen and Ms Stephanie, who strive to create a great learning experience in class everyday. We clearly see her applying the teachings from Karter, at home, when she shows interest in cleaning activities, wants to wash hands independently, surprises us with her growing vocabulary, confidence etc. My husband and I are very happy to see our daughter grow academically, socially and emotionally at Karter. Where do I begin.. my daughter who is 3 came from another Montessori school in the area. She would cry... read more all day and would try to run away. She did not get the comfort she needed. I pulled her out because emotionally she could not handle it. I was hesitant to start her in school again however we wanted to try Karter. WOW WOW WOW is all I can say. Her teacher made an amazing first impression on her. She was greeted at the classroom door, walked in with her teacher Ms. Iris and waved goodbye to me. I was in total shock. As the day went on I received pictures on the procare app of all of the fun things she was learning ( completing Montessori work cycles ) and also all of the fun places she was visiting in the school. Seeing these pictures I was so surprised she was totally fine. She came home that evening talking about how much she loves it there. She talks about her teachers often at home. She used to be a very defiant child at home before starting and NOW she is using manners and modeling grace and courtesy. My child is completely different - for the better. Thank you Karter!!!

Shout out to my close friend Ms.Julss for the extended invite to my family and I, I have personally seen so many kids come up to her asking for hugs and can genuinely tell how loved she is as a teacher from the kids to the parents. From day 1 this place has been exactly what we were hoping for. Everyone on the staff has been super kind and loving towards my daughter. I truly feel she is in a safe place.
